Well its been crazy busy here in the office with my day job (Even though I work for myself…) its so tough finding time to commit to this blog and my Internet Marketing Journey, trying to keep up with my Alex Jeffrey coaching but slipping behind fast, think I’m about 2 weeks behind now. The latest part of the puzzle I’ve been learning about is creating videos online and just watched and listened to a fantastic webinar with "The Video Marketing Queen" – Maria Andros, take a look at YouTube, she has just about cracked a Million dollars online just through using video, I highly recommend you take a good look round her channel Maria Andros
Very informative, very straight forward and lots of great content and pointers to get your first video up and running, so today I’ve spent nearly all day shooting my first video… who would think it would be so nerve racking.. had several takes but after 3 attempts decided I should just upload and get it "out there". The main problem I had was not so much shooting the video it was adding the text to the video, the intro and credit bits.
I had the video recorded in MP4 format and every time I tried to publish it in movie maker to make a finished video I kept getting a green screen on half of the video. After about 3 hours I finally figured it out and I had to change the format of the video to AVI and then it worked fine, but it lost a bit of quality of the original version. Well, It’s up and live and hopefully they will get better…. They have too !!! I’ve created a YouTube channel which you can find here… http://www.youtube.com/richardpehill where I will be adding all my videos to. The channel needs branding etc but right now its live… work in progress.
If you look at any major info product launch nowadays the main sales pages nearly always have a video opt in/sales page on the front end and many back end offers also have various sales videos throughout. Why is this…. Because all the research I’ve done shows that video outsells just plain text by some crazy amount.. something like 500%. So that tells me I’m going to have to have to "master" this video marketing stuff if I want to gain decent conversions on any sales pages I create. So… watch this space.. my videos WILL GET BETTER.
I’m going to have a play with Camtasia tomorrow and attempt to finally give you some content on keyword research.
Hey Richard Great 1st video, you did a good job. Easy to understand and you didn’t appear nervous. Also good move on the SEO information. I think you have a winner here. Glenn
